I tend to walk this hike when I need exercise. The walk to Mui Wo is approximately 5.2 miles, so slightly shorter and involves a Taxi or Bus ride back. The advantage is that you can eat in the Kitchen.
Therefor to save time, I generally walk to the top of the pass on the Olympic Trail and then turn round. The end result is a 6.5 mile walk from Century Link, Tung Chung.
