Made a quick visit to RAF Methringham’s Visitor Centre after a long break. Things have changed remarkably since our last visit. The agricultural shed was far from complete and now is pride of place and houses the DC3 and Lancaster simulator. Our guide coincidentally was from our village, explained the history of the DC3 and much about 106 Lancaster Squadron.
Two items I would like to mention is that in the old cinema building there is a FE Brevet that was donated by the FE Association (Ian Harney) and the DC3 in civilian guess was flown by Rory Ellis (a pilot I knew in a previous life).
