Quick outing to Stanley on Hong Kong Island. Took the MTR from Tun Chung to Central and then the 6X bus (could have been the 6). On the way back we ate in the Soho district and had a fantastic pizza. Interesting to note there is very little evidence of the recent demonstrations. The city authorities have attempted to clean off any graffiti, occasionally there are signs of it (but extremely sparse).
What we must praise in Hong Kong is the fantastic public transportation system, founded on the MTR and supported by trams and buses. many of the busses are of British origin manufactured by Alexander Dennis, all accessed by the Octopus card. This means that a bus can be loaded extremely quickly as no money passes hands.
