Following the approval of Mallard Pass Solar Farm and Gate Burton in Lincs last July (2024), along with Sunnica on Cambs/Suffolk border, Ed Miliband today has approved his 4th solar NSIP awaiting a decision – West Burton on the Lincs/Notts border. This is total destruction of 7000 acres in an area where locals have been campaigning for 3 years.
Heckington Fen in Lincs has also been approved, both notifications from the Planning Inspectorate within 10 minutes of each other today (24 January 2025).
